Patients that arrive more than 15 minutes late for physicals may be asked to reschedule since they are more time consuming. Patients who are late for sick visits will be worked in between patients who have arrived on time.
If a patient fails to keep an appointment without calling to cancel within 24 hours, they will be sent a warning letter advising them of their missed appointment. If a patient fails to show up for three appointments they may be asked to seek a new provider. Each slot taken and not cancelled is a sick patient we were not able to see.
Narcotics are not prescribed after hours under any circumstance . And all narcotic prescriptions are verified by the Colorado Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
Antibiotics are not prescribed after hours unless you have already seen the physician for that particular episode and it is a follow-up call from that visit.
Medication Refills must be requested during regular office hours and with 24 hour notice.
